Rachel Turner, more commonly known by her alias Rebecca Lowe, was a clever and well-rounded con artist, and the main antagonist of Season 5.

Character Profile[]

Born to a U.S. army colonel and a U.K. citizen, Rachel would eventually grow up to serve in MI5 until she was discharged for treason, selling British secrets. Her skills and resourcefulness paved the way for her to become a successful freelance mercenary and con artist. Later on, Rachel relocated to the U.S.

Season 5[]

One Last Stakeout[]

Rachel was first introduced under the alias Rebecca Lowe, where she worked in the Gershon Museum. Neal flirted with her to gain information about the Mosconi Codex and stole her identity card to gain access to the museum. After the FBI found out her badge was used for the theft, she got fired by the museum.

Ice Breaker[]

Rebecca arrived at the FBI New York White Collar Division office to ask for a referral letter exonerating her from the museum theft as she cannot find a job due to the incident. Instead of speaking with Peter Burke, Neal convinced her to speak with Mozzie, posing as an FBI Special Agent. Mozzie gave her the letter as requested but they also asked her to help study Chapter 13 of the Mosconi Codex, which she agreed.

Quantico Closure[]

Rebecca and Neal figured out that the pages of Chapter 13 create an image of a stained glass window. Excited by the discovery, Rebecca kissed Neal but they're interrupted by Mozzie. At the end of the episode, Neal took Rebecca to the actual stained glass window, and they kiss again.

Digging Deeper[]

Rebecca theorized that the Mosconi Codex is linked to the Masons, and Mosconi's involvement led to his death. During the episode, Neal took Rebecca out on a date, which was crashed by Peter and Elizabeth Burke. At the end of the episode, Neal told Rebecca the truth about everything.

No Good Deed[]

Rebecca and Neal woke up in bed together. For Rebecca's safety, Neal doesn't want her involved in the criminal side of his life, but she responded that she wants to be involved in all aspects of his life. Later on, Rebecca found out that Neal and Mozzie were planning to steal the stained glass window, so she convinced Neal into letting her help by being the distraction. After the successful heist, the three of them examined the window together and discovered one of the glass pieces as a filter to decode Chapter 13.

Live Feed[]

Rebecca was seemingly kidnapped by Hagen to force Neal and Mozzie to decode Chapter 13, but Rebecca was eventually let go after Neal forced Hagen to free Rebecca by threatening to burn Chapter 13, which he did anyway after Rebecca was freed. After they reunite, Neal told Rebecca about everything that happened, including the symbols they found through the glass filter in Chapter 13, and Rebecca deduced that the symbols led to finding the lost twin of the Hope Diamond. At the end of the episode, it is revealed that Rebecca murdered David Siegel and Hagen, and Rebecca was never actually kidnapped, so she was working with Hagen the whole time.

Shot Through the Heart[]

Rebecca brought Neal breakfast, and in turn, Neal called Peter to let him know that he'd be going into work late because Rebecca was sick, which gave Peter the opportunity to search Rebecca's apartment. While they were discussing whether or not to continue searching for the lost twin of the Hope Diamond after Rebecca's kidnapping, Rebecca suddenly got up to leave for a "doctor's appointment" after one of the FBI agents tripped her apartment door alarm. Neal managed to stall her for a few minutes by telling her he was falling in love with her, but by the time she got home, all she found was a Chinese takeout menu on the floor in front of her apartment door.

After she got home, Rebecca started packing up all pre-Rebecca Lowe belongings and left Neal a voicemail saying she loves him too, which was all seen and heard by Peter, Neal, and Jones due to the cameras and bugs they set up in her home. Using their new discovery, Peter invited Rebecca into the FBI New York White Collar Division office to tell her that Neal is the prime suspect in Hagen's murder and they were investigating him.

To protect Neal, Rebecca met up with him at the park and told him everything Peter said during their meeting, and right before she was about to confess to everything so she could leave with him, she noticed all the FBI agents and ran away, stealing a cab. Unfortunately, without her go-bag of fake IDs, Rebecca is forced to stick around until Neal lured her out with a trade: her go-bag for the tape of Neal stealing the gold for Hagen. However, when Rebecca showed up to make the trade, Neal offered to steal the twin of the Hope Diamond together and run away, but after she kissed him, he cuffed her to him, smashed the memory stick she gave him, and told her the FBI was on the way. After a short argument, Rebecca shot the handcuffs to free herself and jumped through a second-story window only to get apprehended by Peter. At the end of the episode, Rebecca called Neal from prison, hinting at a reunion soon to come.

Taking Stock[]

Due to Rachel's fingerprint found on the gun used to murder Siegel, the prosecutor would be able to move to indict Rachel. However, due to a new client attempting to employ Rachel, Rachel was invited back to the White Collar office to provide information about her process and history. In exchange, Rachel asked to see Neal, each taking their turn in asking a question and providing a truthful answer. After their conversation was over and Rachel returned to her prison cell, she called the client, telling him about the FBI's setup. At the end of the episode, we find out that Rachel managed to escape prison by assaulting an officer, stealing their uniform, and walking out. She is revealed to be hiding on Neal's apartment balcony.

Diamond Exchange[]

It's revealed that, after Rachel escaped prison, she dyed her hair back to her natural color and broke into Neal's apartment to poison Mozzie into forcing Neal to find the diamond for her, which he did and she told him to meet her at Washington Square Park for the exchange of the diamond for the antidote. However, before Neal and Peter made it out of Fort Totten, where the diamond was hidden, they were ambushed by Rachel at gunpoint. After Neal handed her the diamond, Rachel promised to give him the antidote but only after she was safely out of the city, which she planned to leave by helicopter. Just as she strapped herself to hitch a ride on the hovering helicopter, Rachel realized Neal had given her a piece of brick instead of the real diamond and her hesitation costed her the helicopter, which the pilot took off after overhearing through the radio that local enforcement would be arriving soon. Realizing it was over, Rachel gave up and waited for the FBI to arrive and take her back to prison.

Season 6[]

In "Borrowed Time", the FBI invited Rachel back from prison to provide information about Jim Boothe, the man who kidnapped Neal at the end of Season 5. At the end of the episode, Rachel said goodbye to Neal before being escorted back to prison by U.S. Marshals. As she was getting in the car, she pulled one of the Marshals' gun to commit suicide by cop right outside the FBI building.

Relationships[]

Curtis Hagen[]

Rachel and Hagen worked together to con Neal into helping them find the lost twin of the Hope Diamond, but she ultimately turned on Hagen to protect herself and Neal.

Neal Caffrey[]

Though it was orchestrated by Rachel, Neal and Rachel met as Rebecca Lowe at the Gershon Museum when he asked her for information about the Mosconi Codex and ultimately got her fired by using her key card to access the museum after hours to perform a heist. They bonded over the Mosconi Codex and fell in love for real until Neal found out she was using an alias the whole time and her entire personality was created for the purpose of conning him.

Elizabeth Burke[]

Elizabeth met Rachel as Rebecca Lowe when Elizabeth and Peter purposefully crashed Neal and Rebecca's first real date, and Elizabeth's initial impression of Rebecca was good, even describing her as sweet, thoughtful, and normal. They had even planned to go shopping together before Peter told Elizabeth that Rebecca wasn't who they thought she was.
