Luc Renaud was a French Interpol agent and the former handler of Matthew Keller.
In "Uncontrolled Variables", Renaud initially didn't want to work with the FBI until Peter Burke threatened him, saying he was in FBI territory. However, when the target found out something was stolen and Peter wanted to come clean to the CEO of the security tech firm, Renaud stole the file from Peter's house and gave it to Keller, authorizing him to plant it on Amy Harris, an innocent civilian. At the end of the episode, Renaud felt no remorse for what he did but Peter threatened to arrest him for interfering with an FBI investigation since Interpol denied Renaud's existence anyway.
In "Whack-A-Mole", Renaud was informed by Peter that Alan Woodford found the bug he planted, used to keep an eye on Keller, so Renaud would have to give up Keller as the mole that Woodford was trying to find. However, just as Renaud is telling Keller that he's out, Keller managed to cast doubt on Neal, causing Renaud to send Keller back in.
Later on, Renaud's body was found in a dumpster. It is revealed that he was killed by Keller.
