Lauren Cruz was a FBI Special Agent, who transferred to the FBI Manhattan White Collar Division from the Organized Crime Division.
Beautiful and audacious, Lauren's education quickly establishes herself as a valuable member in Peter Burke's team, as does her predilection for undercover work.
Lauren is also very familiar with Neal Caffrey, having written part of her thesis at Quantico about him. Yet, there's an unspoken, yet minimal, amount of tension between them. While Neal wants to play nice, Lauren is dismissive of his talents but also very outspoken when Neal needs to get close to other women, or vice versa, as part of his cover.
Lauren is written off of the series after Season 1 without any on-screen reason.
